Most people are overwhelmed when choosing health insurance at work. When I was new and first on the job, I had no idea what insurance benefits were - what was good, what was bad or how much I should pay for any of it. I know exactly what you’re up against. I’ll review your health plan choices at work and tell you - one on one - which plan to choose. You’ll be saving smarter now by keeping more money in your own pocket while building wealth to safeguard your future. So that you’ll be able to get the healthcare you need. So that you’ll be able to get healthcare when you need it. So that you’ll never have to worry how to pay for healthcare again.

Hey Reader, “Welcome! We have a few things for you to complete.” I sit with four other new hires in a conference room. “Fill these out. If you have any questions, just ask”, says the company HR representative. Before me I have IRS Form W9, a request for my driver’s license and a bunch of information about insurance - medical, dental, life, disability and 401(k). “Choose the insurance you want and sign.” I thought to myself, “Is this it?” I was once fresh out of college, ready to take on the world. New job. New city. A lot of the same friends. I’m ready to hit the ground running and all I do the first day is fill out forms, learn where the bathrooms and cafeteria are and get “oriented”. I could have been at the DMV…except without the fun of waiting in line for hours. You’ve likely been through something similar. And every year with the medical insurance! With all the jargon of deductible, copayments, PPO/HMO, blah blah blah - most people throw up their hands and cry Uncle! Those are the people I help most. Especially the young adults, recently entering the job market and who have never heard of any of this stuff. HR tells them to head to the website, follow the bots and make their selection…..oh, and get it done by the end of the week. I like to say that I don’t work for the insurance company and am beholden to no one. Here is what some people I’ve helped had to say: “I only had two choices, but the one with the much lower deductible and much lower out of pocket cost actually cost me the most money. Scott’s comparison method confirmed that the plan with the HSA was the right move. I saved over $2,000 last year and over $2,000, again, this year.”
-Owen, 28
“I started work with a new employer and they want me to choose my new benefits right away. I have no clue about any of this! HR didn’t help…they just told me to go to the website. Scott helped me choose the best plan and made it easy. This was really helpful.”
-Kendall, 27
“We could either go with my employer or my spouse’s employer. Scott worked through the 8 different choices we had. With 3 kids, we have a lot to consider. Scott was very helpful and helped us make a very informed decision.”
-Sean, 50
“I've never heard a lot of these terms before and now that I'm turning 26, I have to enroll. Scott's Worst COOP comparison and discussion left me feeling knowledgeable, prepared, and confident in enrolling in my company's health insurance plan!”
-Lucia, 26
I can help you the same way that I helped Owen, Kendall, Sean and Lucia - making the complex simple, cutting through the noise and focusing on what’s right for your life and budget. My Promise:
